CODE FOR EARTH 2026 – OPEN SOURCE INNOVATION PROGRAMME
Code for Earth is now accepting proposals for its 2026 edition, inviting teams of earth scientists, software developers, and AI/ML experts to build innovative open-source solutions for weather, climate, atmospheric science, Copernicus services, and Destination Earth (DestinE). The programme, led by the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF), offers selected teams mentorship and technical support during a four-month development phase (May–August 2026). Participants will showcase their solutions at the Final Code for Earth Day in September 2026 in Bologna, Italy.
