Open Startup 2026 Programs (Funding up to $20,000)

Overview

Open Startup International has launched its 2026 Call for Applications for African technology startups through two dedicated tracks: the Pre-Seed Track and the Seed Track. The program is designed for ambitious founders building innovative Tech and DeepTech solutions across Africa.

Successful startups will receive tailored training, expert mentorship, strategic partnerships, investor readiness support, global exposure, and may become eligible for mission-aligned investment funding of up to USD 20,000. The program particularly welcomes startups working in climate, agritech, clean energy, AI, health, fintech, edtech, logistics, and other high-impact technology sectors.

Eligibility

• Be building a technology solution addressing a demonstrated problem in Africa.
• Be legally incorporated in an African country.
• Operate primarily within Africa.
• Demonstrate proficiency in English.
• Have a committed founding team.
• Be available to actively participate in program activities.
• Submit a complete application before the deadline.
