Overview
The GreenCheck Solidarity Academy 2026 is now open for applications! This four-month global internship program is designed to empower young climate leaders from Most Affected Peoples and Areas (MAPA).
The program focuses on building capacity, strengthening climate justice actions, and fostering global solidarity among frontline communities.
Selected participants will take part in:
• Trainings, workshops, and upskilling sessions (May–June 2026)
• Hands-on internships with GreenCheck or partner grassroots organizations (June–September 2026)
A small cohort of interns will be selected, and a modest stipend will be provided during the internship period.
Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, so early submission is highly encouraged.
Eligibility
- Aged between 18–24 years
- From MAPA communities (Global South, Indigenous, LGBTQ+, low-income, vulnerable groups, etc.)
- Less than 1 year of experience in climate or environmental action
- Passionate about environmental and social issues
- Able to speak and understand English
- Available for a remote program (May–September 2026)
- Access to a reliable internet connection and a digital device
