Overview
The Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC) is inviting applications for the Public Health Emergency Management (PHEM) Fellowship – Cohort III. This is a six-month residential training program designed to strengthen Africa’s capacity to prepare for and respond to public health emergencies.
The fellowship is tailored for mid-career public health professionals working within government institutions. Participants will benefit from intensive training, mentorship, study tours, and hands-on field placements in Emergency Operations Centers across Africa.
This program offers a unique opportunity to build leadership and technical expertise in public health emergency management while contributing to stronger health systems across the continent.
Eligibility
- Mid-career African public health professionals
- Currently working in a government institution
- Relevant experience in public health or emergency management
- Must be available for a full-time six-month residential program
- Strong commitment to strengthening public health systems in Africa
